Description
Workplace Resource, A Certified Herman Miller Dealer is seeking a full-time Designer for our San Antonio office who will collaborate with the Sales department to recommend space planning options and design solutions in collaboration with A&D firms. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in design/space planning for a major manufacturer and/or dealer environment. 

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with Sales to establish client's design requirements of the project
  • Works with clients and/or A&D firms to translate their needs into a floor plan and initiates concepts for alternative solutions
  • Prepares sales presentation packages, which may include drawings, sketches, renderings, cost estimates, and finish boards
  • Performs field measures, product inventory, programming, specification verifications, and ancillary product research
  • Develops furniture block plan/space plan, fabric/finish palette, final furniture specifications and provide accurate and timely installation drawing that will fit the customers' requirements
  • Creates specifications per client needs using CAP/AutoCAD/Z-Axis to include gathering the required information from vendors and vendor quotes.
  • Ensures that plans are code compliant
  • Creates graphic representation of design and obtains client sign off
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Four-year Interior Design degree or equivalent required
  • Knowledge or expertise in systems furniture required
  • Able to work proficiently with AutoCAD, or equivalent programs; competent with 20-20 CAP and Microsoft Office and Outlook, has a basic understanding of Z-Axis
  • Herman Miller experience preferred
  • Revit experience a plus
  • Healthcare experience a plus
  • Proficient with Design Documentation by constantly applying design drawing and documentation standards, electronic file naming and saving conventions
  • NCIDQ and/or LEED credential a PLUS
